Based in Kilkenny , Ireland, Grange Equine Veterinary Clinic is a specialized, 100% equine practice led by Dr. Oscar Mazzarello.
With over three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Mazzarello brings a comprehensive international perspective to Irish veterinary medicine. Originally qualifying in Italy, with his veterinary education enriched by internship at the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands)—he moved to Ireland working in different equine practices before establishing his dedicated equine practice.
Dr. Mazzarello strives to practice modern, evidence-based medicine, focusing entirely on the equine athlete—from the Thoroughbred racehorse and high-performance Irish Sport Horse to the beloved family pony.
He holds the Certificate in Equine Sports Medicine from University College Dublin (UCD, 2014) and he is committed to continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of the industry.
Recognizing the global nature of the sport horse industry, Oscar has been a proud member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) since 2003. He is also an active member of the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) since 2014, regularly attending advanced conventions on lameness imaging, pre-purchase exams, and regenerative therapies.
Dr. Mazzarello serves on the veterinary panel for the Cavan Equestrian Horse Sales and the elite Monart Horse Sales (3-year-old Eventers). He is also a registered FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian.
